How to Volunteer

Suffolk Links Pathfinder Service Suffolk Links is a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service which provides connections to bus and train links in rural areas.

How does it work? if you wish to travel in the area covered by the Suffolk Links Pathfinder (see map below) and are not able to access a bus service directly, the service will pick you up from a convenient point.  Where appropriate the service will connect with bus and train services for onward travel to further destinations. The bus will take you to Bungay, Halesworth, Wrentham or the railway station at Darsham, or any of the villages shown on the map. For journeys within the service area, where connecting to services is not appropriate, end to end journeys will be possible.

Who can use the service?

The service is available to anyone within the areas shown on the map below, the vehicle is fully accessible with low steps, handrails, and a lift for wheelchair access. Let us know when you book if you require assistance.

When does the service operate?

The Pathfinder vehicle runs from Tuesday to Sunday between 7.00am and 7.00pm. every week.

What will it cost?

The journey will be charged like a bus fare. Concessionary passes and Explore cards will be valid on all journeys, in accordance with the standard terms of validity. You will be advised of the fare when you book your journey, and a ticket will be issued when you board.

How do I make a booking?

You can make a booking for your journey, including return, by calling the office on 01986 874479 between Monday and Friday, 10.00 till 1.00pm. Bookings need to be booked at least a day before you need to travel and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
