Pathfinder Service
The Halesworth Pathfinder is an exciting new public
transport service supported by Discover Suffolk and operated by the Volunteer
Centre with a team of paid drivers.
Launched in December 2006 the service provides local journeys not covered by timetabled buses and trains. Essentially the service operates like a taxi for the fare of a bus, providing a door to door pick up service at a time to suit you. It can be used as a link up to other public transport, for shopping or socialising or accessing the local countryside for a walk or pub lunch, all for the price of a standard bus fare - free if you have a bus pass.
Who can use the service?
The
service is available to anyone wishing to travel within the Halesworth, Blyth
Valley and the Saints area - to check to see if your journey is eligible please
contact the office. The vehicle is designed to carry up to six passengers and
can also carry passengers who need to travel in wheelchairs.

When does the service operate?
The Pathfinder vehicle runs from Tuesday to Sunday between 7.00am and 7.00pm. every week.
How do I make a booking?
You can make a booking for your journey, including return, by calling the office on 01986 874479 between Monday and Friday, 10.00 till 1.00pm. Bookings need to be booked on the day before you need to travel and are offered on a first come, first served basis. We can also provide information on other local public transport services and timetables.
